Step 1: Get an estimate

Getting an estimate with Brush & Pride Painting is a straightforward, low-pressure process designed to help you understand your options — not rush a decision.

We take the time to listen, evaluate the space carefully, and provide clear information so you can decide what makes sense for your home and timeline.

Request an Estimate

Clear scope. Written proposals. No surprises.

Here’s What to Expect

Once your estimate is scheduled, the process is designed to feel clear, organized, and unhurried.

When your estimator arrives, the visit begins with a conversation about your home, your goals, and any concerns you may have. This allows us to understand not just what needs to be painted, but how the work should be approached to fit your space and expectations.

We then walk through the areas to be painted, take detailed notes, and evaluate conditions that may affect preparation, materials, or sequencing. During this time, we explain relevant parts of our process and answer questions so you have a clear understanding of what the project would involve.

After the walkthrough, we prepare a detailed, written proposal — either on-site or shortly afterward, depending on the scope. Our proposals clearly outline the scope of work, preparation steps, materials, and pricing so you can review everything thoughtfully and make an informed decision.

Estimate visits typically take 45–60 minutes and are structured to feel professional, informative, and comfortable — without pressure to move forward before you’re ready.

Step 2: Reviewing & Signing the Itemized Contract

If you decide to move forward, the next step is reviewing and signing an itemized contract. This document serves as a clear reference point for the entire project.

The contract outlines the full scope of work, including specific areas to be painted, preparation details, materials and coatings to be used, and the agreed-upon pricing. Everything is documented so expectations are aligned before scheduling begins.

We also include our business information and written warranty directly within the contract, ensuring all key details are accessible in one place. This level of clarity helps prevent misunderstandings and allows the project to move forward smoothly.

Signing the contract simply confirms that the scope, expectations, and details have been agreed upon — so the focus can shift from planning to execution with confidence.

Step 3: Scheduling & Project Planning

Once the scope is finalized, we work with you to schedule the project in a way that respects your home, your routine, and your timeline. We coordinate start dates thoughtfully, taking into account the type of work being performed, site conditions, and realistic completion windows.

Our scheduling process is designed to balance flexibility with clarity. You’ll know when work is scheduled to begin, what to expect during the project, and how long each phase is expected to take — so there are no surprises once work is underway.

Clear scheduling sets the foundation for a smooth, well-managed project.

Step 4: Preparation & Site Protection

Preparation is where successful painting projects are won or lost — and it’s an area we take seriously.

For interior projects, preparation may include protecting floors and furnishings, addressing surface imperfections, performing drywall repairs where needed, and ensuring all surfaces are clean, sound, and ready for paint. This step is critical to achieving clean lines, smooth finishes, and consistent results.

For exterior projects, preparation typically begins with thorough surface cleaning to remove dirt, mildew, and contaminants. We then address any damaged areas and carefully protect windows, doors, roofing, and landscaping before painting begins.

Proper preparation isn’t rushed, and it isn’t cosmetic. It’s what allows paint systems to perform as intended and ensures the finished work looks right — and lasts.

Step 5: Painting & Execution

With preparation complete, the focus shifts to execution — where experience, coordination, and attention to detail matter most.

At Brush & Pride Painting, painting is never rushed or treated as a production step. Whether we’re working in a historic home, an occupied residence, or a commercial space, our team follows a controlled, deliberate process designed to protect the property and deliver consistent, professional results.

For interior projects, we apply even, uniform coats with careful attention to transitions, trim lines, and finish consistency. Lighting conditions, surface texture, and existing architectural details are all considered to ensure the final result feels intentional and balanced.

For exterior projects, we work methodically across all surfaces — siding, trim, doors, shutters, and architectural details — ensuring complete coverage and proper application based on material type and exposure. Our team understands how Arkansas climate conditions affect exterior coatings and applies finishes accordingly.

Throughout the painting phase, your home or building is treated with care. Work areas are kept orderly, daily cleanup is standard, and communication continues so you always know where the project stands.

This is where planning, preparation, and craftsmanship come together — and where our experience with historic properties, custom homes, and commercial environments ensures your project is in capable hands.

Step 6: Final Walkthrough & Project Closeout

As the project nears completion, we schedule a final walkthrough with you to review the work together. This walkthrough isn’t a formality — it’s a quality-control step built into our process.

During this time, we walk the project with you, review the finished surfaces, and confirm that everything aligns with the scope of work and the standards we’ve set from the beginning. Details matter at this stage, and we take the time to address them thoughtfully.

If any adjustments are needed, they’re noted and handled promptly. We don’t rush this step, and we don’t consider a project complete until it meets both our expectations and yours.

Once the walkthrough is complete, the space is left clean, orderly, and ready to be enjoyed — with the confidence that the work has been done carefully and correctly.

Step 7: Clean Up, Care, and Project Closeout

After the final walkthrough and any agreed-upon touch-ups are completed, we move into full project closeout. All protective coverings are removed, work areas are carefully cleaned, and the space is returned to you in orderly, finished condition.

Before we leave, we provide guidance on caring for your newly painted surfaces — including curing time, cleaning recommendations, and any warranty or maintenance information relevant to your project. This ensures you know what to expect in the days and weeks following completion.

Once everything is finalized, we close out the project documentation and confirm that all aspects of the scope have been completed as planned. At that point, your home is fully turned back over to you — clean, finished, and ready to be enjoyed.

We appreciate the trust you place in us when inviting us into your home, and we approach the close of each project with the same care and professionalism that guided it from the start.
